ABOUT

Hi there, my name is Heather Boyd. I am a Christian freelance Children's Picture Book illustrator and writer, living in the suburban landscape of Ontario, Canada. I love being out in nature, near the water and near people and their dogs. 

I combine both traditional pencil with traditional or digital colored pencil crayons, while leaving just enough of my paper visible to remind you it's tactile. I enjoy playing around with conceptual ideas, traditional process and textures, symbolism, and design to create just the right moment. 

I love celebrating the wonders of the simple, ordinary things that God has graciously blessed us with. I love telling stories that are sensitive, reflective and restful, with a little laughter on the side.
